Are you a person with a bleeding disorder or the partner of one? It’s time to re-connect at this year’s adult wellness weekend. The emphasis is on learning together and having fun with an eventful weekend of activities and socialising. So, if you are an adult with a bleeding disorder or the partner of an adult with a bleeding disorder, you are eligible and welcome to attend.

Cost of attendance is $150 per couple or $80 per individual. We will invoice following your registration. If cost is a barrier, please get in touch with us and we can explore payment options.

Register now to avoid disappointment! Spaces are limited. Please note that we may need to prioritise attendance for members. You will be invoiced by May 2025 and contacted by Leanne to coordinate your travel arrangements.

What does your registration cover?
Return flights and transfers to and from Wellington airport, accommodation, meals, and activities. You will be staying in the heart of Wellington’s Cuba Street area and close to all the amenities you need. Education is a key component of the weekend, and the best education also comes from connecting with your peers. You can choose from one of the following three planned activities: The Wētā Experience, Zealandia, or Te Papa Tongarewa. We will all have dinner together on Saturday night near Wellington's Courtenay Place.

Wētā Experience
Located just down the road from the Wētā Cave, the Wētā Workshop Experience takes place at a dedicated off-premises group tour space. There, an experienced Wētā Workshop crew member will take you on a guided journey through the practical effects crafted for The Lord of the Rings, King Kong, The Chronicles of Narnia, Avatar and much more. This also includes a private screening of Wētā's exclusive behind-the-scenes documentary. After lunch, you will be transported to this venue for a guided tour. This is an accessible venue.

Zealandia
Zealandia Te Māra a Tāne is the world’s first fully-fenced urban ecosanctuary, with an extraordinary 500-year vision to restore a Wellington valley’s forest and freshwater ecosystems as closely as possible to their pre-human state. The 225 hectare (500+ acre) ecosanctuary is a groundbreaking conservation project that has reintroduced a number of species of native wildlife back into the area, some of which were previously absent from mainland New Zealand for over 100 years. Set around a picturesque reservoir, Zealandia is home to some of New Zealand's most rare and extraordinary wildlife - all thriving wild in a world-first protected sanctuary. Please note that this activity will involve moderate walking.

Te Papa Tongarewa
Te Papa is New Zealand's national museum. Explore this waterfront museum following lunch. You are free to stroll around and enjoy the museum at your own pace. A guided tour will be arranged, dependent on the level of interest in this activity. This is an accessible venue.

Join us and re-connect with your bleeding disorder family!
